Description

Hydrophobic attraction, macromolecule adhesion, and even biofouling occur when the surface contact angle exceeds 65°, known as the "Berg limit." While this threshold seems widely applicable, the reasons behind its universality remain unclear. In the seminar, I will discuss our current knowledge of this threshold and explore possible underlying mechanisms.
