Description
This session will not focus on the usual "success story" format bout rather on a "collaboration example" format more in a workshop direction. Meaning working with a SME should be focused on:
- how you address (come in contact) with an SME
- difference between collaboration and subcontracting
- the involvement of your institution at different stages of a project - what is the expected obligation from each partner; where during a project your institution helps and what to expect
- chances for additional cofounding of a project?
- the gains for a SME
- usage of a HPC - how to get onboard, how your institution helps
- innovative approaches
- prepare some questions for the discussion
The idea is that each example will have around 5-10min of presentation time available followed by a discussion, preferably in a round-table setting that enables more vivid exchange of opinion (if the venue will permit this). Please be aware of that this session's target audience are NCCs and CoEs and the ideas to share are to be related with "new" and "outside of the box" ideas and how to overcome many obstacles.
