Karol is studying impact of the probe on improve image quality. Using phantoms with hot and cold regions at different distances form the probe and checking the contrast of each region. Significant improvement for hot/warm contrast is observed close to the probe, where contrast with the probe is close to the expected value of 3, while using only the ring it is around 2. Overall, results are however quite inconsistent, probably due to the low statistics. Karol expects to have improved results (with higher statistics) by the next meeting. Andrej still working resolution studies for different data types (4 types of events: 1 mm or 1.4 mm Si with or without BGO). Previously he checked simulated data, now he added measured data (divided into samples of 1M events). He found better results for 1.4 mm Si data than for 1 mm Si data for 1.2 mm rods, which he suspects to be a consequence of different background contribution. Will play with changing background contribution. Difficulties with variance estimation were discussed. Full report available at the Indico page.

Andrej presented preliminary results of the tests of the diode with gain (W8-E10). Linear correlation between the low-gain and high-gain channel was measured up to saturation effects on high-gain channel. Not much influence of bias voltage on spectrum between 150 V and 250 V.
