Description: Through the workshop, the students will familiarise themselves with the HPC ecosystem in Slovenia and the EU. They will learn about the architecture of modern computing clusters, the software stack, and run their first jobs. They will become acquainted with the roles of the operating system, the Slurm middleware, and user software. They will connect to the login nodes, transfer files to and from the supercomputer, run machine learning jobs, and monitor job execution.
